I love to marry people. It is a privilege and a joy as well as a sacred responsibility. It’s my job to make sure that the ceremony-the centerpiece of the celebration (the reason for the special attire, the cake, the music, the flowers and the food) is as distinct as the couple themselves. Personal, meaningful and satisfying from the greeting to the kiss. However you want to manifest your dream wedding, I’ve got you.

Offerings My most popular option is my fully customized offering. The heart of this ceremony is your love story. I’ll send each partner a fun, reflective Q & A where you’ll fill me in on what makes the two of you click-from the goofy to the serious, where you’ve been and where you want to go and why it all matters. You share as much or as little as you like. This jumping off point is what sparks my creative engine, when I brainstorm /research ideas for readings, music, remembrances, cultural traditions, vows and rituals tailored to your unique preferences, style and vibe. I send you the first draft and off we go! Edits and revisions are part of the process, every word is approved by you. On the day of the ceremony, I’ll connect with your vendors to make sure we’re all in sync and give cue sheets to your music provider and venue coordinator. Would you like a rehearsal before the big day? You got it. But perhaps you’d prefer something more scaled back, with less moving parts. Streamlined, but personal and sincere. I’ll want to get to know you better so I’ll ask some questions about what makes y’all tick. Why are you saying “I do?” You’d like to include some traditional elements like a reading or a remembrance and may want some coaching help with writing your vows. You want everyone on the same page, so on the day of the ceremony, I’ll touch base with your vendors to make sure we’re all in sync and give cue sheets to your music provider and venue coordinator. Or maybe…a romantic elopement is what calls to you. Intimate, just you, your partner and perhaps a few friends. You don’t want an impersonal justice of the peace affair, you’d like it to have substance, to reflect the significance of the vows you are making. Tell me about about yourselves and we’ll make it sing. Not sure where to do this? When the weather cooperates we can look into one of the many beaches here in Chicagoland or if you’d like to ensure privacy, I have lovely garden with a festive Japanese Maple that enjoys being the backdrop for intimate ceremonies.
