After my mother's husband died and she became a widow for the second time, she lamented not receiving flowers from a man anymore. My husband, David, met that need on special days for her and we've continued that tradition since she passed -most notably on her birthday, when I want her to have her beloved tulips. But, even if I'm at a store and spot a beautiful bouquet, I can't get them. David has to be the one. Do you have any quirky rituals you perform to keep someone close?
