Happy Autumnal Equinox!
I invite you to enjoy this beautiful poem by my friend and colleague, Ben Martin. Now for a long exhale... This September day holds you in the Balance between the in breath and the out breath. It sits, ever so briefly, equipoised between the light and the dark; between equal portions of night and day. What an elusive thing, the Balance. How wonder-filled to find that place-- to be held in the Balance, to find equanimity in the midst of such churn and, at times, what seems such reckless change. If only for a moment, may you embrace the Balance and welcome in a stirring, an excitement as Autumn takes hold revealing, once again, its amazing, colorful tribute to letting go and to letting be.

Such an honor to celebrate the life of a man who so loved this beautiful planet that he reveled in climbing her mountains, diving deep within her seas, sailing her winds and marveling at the fire in her skies.
I imagine he's out there somewhere...charting new horizons. Hey friends, a heads up- as much as I love working here in Chicagoland, I am a traveling celebrant as well! I just finished the first draft of wedding that will take place next month in the Apostle Isles of Lake Superior. I've also gone further afield for celebrations of life. I want to go where I am needed.

and breathe new life into my dreams. What yearnings of yours want to take flight? ( I spotted this inspirational beauty on a morning stroll last week.) |
