This was a first! I married two lovely people in my home this afternoon in a heartfelt, soulful ceremony. We had a hand fasting, remembrance of the ancestors, and an honoring of the four elements. It was perfect. Whether you want a ceremony filled with guests to the rafters, or you'd prefer it just be you and your beloved, I've got you. Happy Imbolc! Meaning, in the belly of the mother, today marks the tender midpoint between the winter solstice and the spring equinox. Time to dream of crocuses peaking out from their cozy homes and to bundle up, get outside and let the sun tease you with its ever warming rays. But let's not be in too much of a hurry. There are still seeds waiting to germinate and fires of strength being stoked. The wheel is turning.  |
