WHAT IS A LIFECYCLE CELEBRANT AND WHY WORK WITH ONE?Education/training: I am a graduate of The Celebrant Foundation and Institute, having completed a rigorous, extensive course of study in the fundamentals of ceremony creation and performance, rites of passage and the art of ritual. I have earned three specialty certifications, Weddings, Funerals, and Ceremonies Across the Lifecycle. In short, I'm a ceremony specialist! Beautifully written, customized ceremonies: I will weave the story you want to tell with ritual and symbolism to design a one of a kind ceremony that reflects your personality, values, and beliefs all while paying attention to lyricism, story arc, tone and pacing. Polished pubic speaker/facilitator: I am comfortable speaking in front of gatherings of all sizes, and enjoy engaging guests in the unfolding story. In addition, my acting and improv background can come in handy when the unexpected happens! Vow/eulogy writing assistance: I am happy to help craft wedding vows or write a tribute to your loved one. Inclusive: My practice is LGBTQ+ friendly. |
Intimate ceremonies, like honoring a beloved animal companion,
can be very healing, whether at home or with friends. |
HOW IS THE COVID 19 PANDEMIC AFFECTING HOW YOU WORK
AND CEREMONIES IN GENERAL?
AND CEREMONIES IN GENERAL?
The situation remains fluid, with new variants popping up that remind us
that this isn't over yet. It's been such a challenging time for all, no matter
how you've adjusted to the changes this has brought to our lives. Full
disclosure. I'm a big believer in the science behind the vaccines and am
fully vaccinated and boosted. I'm most comfortable working with like
minded folks. There is so much to celebrate in this world. My goal here is
to do my part to keep us safe as we navigate this new terrain.
However, if you are uncertain about moving forward with an in person
event, virtual ceremonies can be beautiful, moving and engaging. You can
still share your big moments and all of the love and support that go along
with them.

are you a minister?
I am a registered nondenominational minister in order to legally marry folks! I
will hold sacred space for you whether your ceremony is secular, spiritual,
religious or somewhere in between.

what is your fee structure?
It is a joy and an honor to craft custom, personalized ceremonies that are
unique to every individual, couple or family. The fee for each ceremony is
based on the breadth, complexity, and amount of research and
consultation needed. Once we have our initial communication and I ask
you a few questions, I'll be able to give you a price range straight away,
then when we follow up with our no obligation consultation, usually on
Zoom, I'll get an even better idea of what you are looking for and will be
able to give you quote.

this all sounds great. what's next?
We set up a complimentary consultation where we talk about what you want out of the ceremony, how you want to feel, who you'd like to participate and what elements would be meaningful. We find out that we're a good fit (yay!) and decide to work together.
If it's a wedding or a milestone event, I'll give you a questionnaire to fill out so we can flesh out some juicy details. If it's a celebration of life, we'll schedule a Zoom call where I'll ask a series of questions about your loved one.
I write the first draft and send it to you for approval. You may have edits, tweaks or additions. Cool! That's part of the process, it has to sound and feel like YOU. I incorporate these things and we collaborate to make sure the ceremony is just what you envisioned-or maybe didn't even know was possible!
On the day of the ceremony, I show up early to make sure everyone is prepared and all the ducks are in a row. They are and we all participate in a rich, satisfying ceremony that honors your milestone.
